Our Water

Where We Fish

Blue-ribbon tailwaters, the Dream Stream, Gold Medal float water, and wild high-country creeks — all within reach of Colorado Springs.

Home Tailwater

South Platte River

Our home tailwater. Cheesman Canyon, Deckers, the Dream Stream, and Eleven Mile Canyon — technical, year-round trout water and the backbone of our wade trips.

Cheesman Canyon · Deckers · Dream Stream · Eleven Mile Canyon

Gold Medal Float

Arkansas River

Gold Medal water and our drift-boat home. Big browns, miles of float water through the canyon, and the best dry-fly fishing in the state when the caddis come off.

Trophy Tailwater

The Dream Stream

The legendary stretch of South Platte between Spinney and Eleven Mile reservoirs — trophy rainbows, browns, and cutbows migrating up from the lakes in spring and fall.

Canyon Tailwater

Eleven Mile Canyon

A scenic canyon tailwater below Eleven Mile Reservoir — wild and stocked trout, dry-fly water in summer, and reliable midge fishing through the winter.

Eleven Mile Canyon · Lake George

Most Technical

Cheesman Canyon

The most technical water we guide — gin-clear catch-and-release flows below Cheesman Dam where careful wading and a perfect drift earn big, wild trout. A wade-in hike rewarded.

Water & Country Questions

Common questions about where we go

How far do trips travel from Colorado Springs?
Most of our water is within an hour or so of Colorado Springs — the South Platte system, Cheesman and Eleven Mile canyons, and Pike National Forest creeks. The Dream Stream and Arkansas River floats range a bit farther. We'll tell you the meeting point and drive time when you book.
Which river fishes best, and when?
It changes with the season and flows — that's exactly what we track. Winter favors the canyons (Cheesman, Eleven Mile); spring and fall light up the Dream Stream with trophy fish; summer is prime for the Arkansas and high creeks. Ask our booking assistant what's fishing best the week you want to come.
Where do you fish for trophy trout?
Our best trophy water is the Dream Stream between Spinney and Eleven Mile reservoirs, plus the technical, gin-clear flows of Cheesman Canyon. In the spring and fall runs, big rainbows and browns push up out of the lakes — that's when we time our Dream Stream Trophy Trips.
Can you run a multi-day or custom trip?
Absolutely. We build custom multi-day itineraries — a float on the Arkansas, a wade on the South Platte, and a day on the Dream Stream, built around the season. Tell us what you're after and we'll put together the trip.
