Wade & Walk-&-Wade Trips

Guided Fly Fishing

Wild trout on Colorado's Front Range — South Platte tailwaters, Eleven Mile, the Dream Stream, and high-country creeks. Gear and flies included. From $295.

All Gear & Flies Included

Front Range trout, guided by locals.

Some of the best trout water in the country is within an hour of Colorado Springs — and we've fished every inch of it. Our guides put you on the runs that are producing, rig you correctly for the day, and teach you to read water so you keep catching long after the trip ends.

Choose a half-day wade close to town, a full day hiking into wild high-country creeks, or a patient, teaching-first beginner trip for you or the kids. Rods, reels, waders, and flies come with every trip — you just bring your license and a willingness to learn.

How It Works

How a fishing trip goes

Easy to book, all gear included, fish from the first run.

1

Book your date

Pick a trip and request your dates online — or ask the booking assistant. A coordinator confirms availability, usually same day, and sends a license link and meeting details.

2

Meet your guide

We meet you at the water (or a nearby trailhead), get you rigged and into waders, and cover a quick plan for the day based on flows and conditions.

3

Fish & learn

Your guide puts you on productive water, teaches casting and presentation, and nets your fish. Half-day or full-day, the focus is on you catching and improving.

4

Come back better

You leave knowing more than you arrived — and most clients book their next trip before they've dried off. Ask about repeat-client rates.

Questions

Fly fishing trip FAQ

Which trip is right for me — half-day wade, full-day wild trout, or beginner?
If you want a quick, productive morning or afternoon close to town, the Half-Day Wade Trip on the South Platte is perfect. Want a full day hiking into uncrowded high-country creeks for wild trout? Book the Walk-&-Wade. Never fly fished or bringing kids? Our Beginner & Family trip is built for first-timers. Not sure? Ask our 24/7 booking assistant or call us — we'll match you to the right water.
Do I need my own gear or a license?
We provide rods, reels, waders, boots, flies, and terminal tackle — all sized to you and in great shape. You just need a valid Colorado fishing license, which takes a few minutes to buy online; we'll send you the link and walk you through it. Prefer your own rod? Bring it — plenty of our clients do.
How many anglers per guide?
Wade trips run one or two anglers per guide so you get real instruction and attention. Booking a group? We simply add guides and split the water so everyone fishes well.
What if the weather turns?
We fish in most conditions — some of the best days come under cloud and light rain. If conditions become genuinely unsafe (lightning, flash-flood flows), we'll move water or reschedule at no charge. Colorado weather changes fast, and flexibility is part of the deal.
When is the fishing best on the Front Range?
Honestly, year-round. Winter midge fishing in Cheesman Canyon and Eleven Mile is excellent, spring and fall bring big trout to the Dream Stream, and summer means dry flies on the Arkansas and high creeks. Our booking assistant can tell you exactly what's fishing best the week you want to come.
